Addicts Are Surrendering To Jesus - Outreach Testimony

We knocked on her door during Community Outreach, asking:

"Can we pray for you?"

Her immediate response?

"Yes, I'm addicted to drugs. Please pray for me."

We asked if she'd ever heard the Gospel.

"What religion is that?" She replied.

We shared the simple Gospel:

No one is perfect; our sin separates us from God. The Good News? Jesus came and lived a perfect life, laying His life down on our behalf, dying and rising again, so that we could be made new, when we call on His name, repent, and surrender lordship of our lives to Him.

It was then, right at her doorstep, that we got to witness the most beautiful thing we could ever see on this earth:

"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16a

As we shared the Gospel, her heart was opened, and she said she wanted to give her entire life to Jesus for Him to make her new.

Brothers and sisters, this is one life we encountered. We all walk by them everyday in our grocery stores, our schools, our neighborhoods. We must give them the opportunity to know Him. If we don't, who will?
